About Mean Arterial Pressure (MAP)

What is MAP?
Mean Arterial Pressure (MAP) represents the average arterial pressure throughout one cardiac cycle. It's a crucial indicator of organ perfusion, providing more comprehensive information than systolic and diastolic pressures alone.

Normal MAP Range:
A healthy MAP typically ranges between 70-100 mmHg. Values below 60 mmHg may indicate inadequate organ perfusion, while values above 110 mmHg may suggest increased cardiovascular risk.

How to Use This Calculator:
Simply enter your systolic blood pressure (the higher number) and diastolic blood pressure (the lower number), then click "Calculate MAP" to get your mean arterial pressure reading.

Calculation Formula:
MAP = Diastolic Pressure + 1/3 × (Systolic Pressure - Diastolic Pressure)
