GPA Calculator

Grade Point Average (GPA) is a standardized way of measuring academic achievement.

Calculation Formula:

• GPA = Total Grade Points ÷ Total Credits
• Grade Points = Course Grade × Course Credits

GPA Scales:

• 4.0 Scale: Most common in the US (A = 4.0, B = 3.0, C = 2.0, D = 1.0, F = 0.0)
• 5.0 Scale: Used in some institutions (A+ = 5.0, A = 4.8, etc.)

GPA Categories:

• 3.7-4.0: Excellent (Dean's List, Honors)
• 3.0-3.6: Good (Above average)
• 2.0-2.9: Average (Satisfactory)
• 1.0-1.9: Below Average (Academic probation)
• 0.0-0.9: Poor (Academic dismissal risk)
